Funambol updates open source mobile software

Funambol's Open Source Wireless Sync software: Funambol, an open-source software development company that specializes in mobile application servers, is now providing a free open-source e-mail sync application for the iPhone. Starting this week, iPhone users will be able to sync their Personal Information Management (PIM) data for free through the company's myFUNAMBOL portal to popular e-mail systems such as Gmail, Yahoo and AOL. Funambol's wireless sync platform, which is supported through advertisements, is also available on Windows Mobile and Blackberry devices, and will soon be available on Google Android devices as well. The software for the application can be downloaded directly from the myFUNAMBOL Web site (http://my.funambol.com/c/portal/layout?p_l_id=PUB.1001.1).
