Scalix to support Mozilla and Firefox
Linux-based enterprise e-mail and calendaring platform, Scalix version 9.1, is now available in Australia.
Version 9.1 offers full support for Outlook 2003, Mozilla 1.7 and Firefox Preview Release browsers in addition to existing support for Internet Explorer. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.
Scalix's Mozilla and Firefox support includes advanced functionality previously limited to proprietary browsers, such as drop-down menus, cut-and-paste, drag-and-drop and local caching.
"We have made the investment to give users of Mozilla software equal footing with Internet Explorer and comparable functionality to Outlook 2003," said Scalix's founder and chief strategy officer, Julie Farris
Scalix 9.1 is available through Australian distributor CustomTech for $99 per user. This covers licensing for the server, the Outlook Connector, the advanced Scalix Web Client and includes support for IMAP and POP clients.
Support and maintenance is $19.80 per user per year. This covers updates, new versions and e-mail support -- 24x7 support is available at higher cost.
