New gadgets were on display at CTIA in Las Vegas.

This here is Vringo, a video ringtone software and service. It lets you choose from licensed ringtones at vringo.com or you can even make your own. Pick a video, drag and drop and it becomes the video ringtone on your phone. The company also offers software that grabs photos of your friends from Facebook and makes them pop up when they call. Both services are free for now, but that may change in the future.

Next up are Motorola's new products. Coming in the second quarter of this year will be their WiMax modem, the CPEi 150. There's also a GSM femtocell, a small cellular base station designed for your home or office. On the right is a gateway, which includes the femtocell technology as well as DSL, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and other capabilities. The femtocell is on trial with operators in Europe.

And lastly is Zeemote, a Bluetooth game controller for mobile phones. It can be used for both single and multiplayer gaming. Here is two player mode on a Nokia N95 hooked up to a TV screen for better viewing. Zeemote is talking to handset makers as the games have to be adapted to work with the remote. A process that only takes a few days or less according to the company. So far about 40 games have been adapted for it. Pricing hasn't been announced, but look for Zeemote by the end of the second quarter.

For the IDG News Service I'm Nick Barber in Boston with reporting by Stephen Lawson in Las Vegas.
